Release the Lions Matthew Kelly 9781453597521 Books Reviews
Great book! Not recommended for all those religious fanatics who are overweight and would not be able to save themselves if the lions were ever released! I am tired of supporting all those who choose not to work, be a burden to society, eat, have children who are destined to be a problem for us law abiding citizens, and, on top of it, try to pray for those of us who are non believers! BTW, male vs female roles, the best chapter I have ever read anywhere! Men should stop being women and women should forget about trying to be men. It just doens't work and it is detrimental to our society! Thank you Mr. Kelly for you courage of coming straight out to say it as it is!
Kelly tackles important conflicts and issues; some contemporary, some timeless. He does so in a refreshingly irreverent way. As outlandish as it might seem, his perspective displays a fresh, unfettered level of sensibility. He then goes beyond the basic citicism of society by making proposals for action. Be they practical or not, his proposals reveal essential and practically forgotten ideals. Bravo.
Under no circumstances mix this author clown up with the Catholic writer sharing the same name. This Matthew Kelly is a jaded, hateful human being that truly promotes a "thinning of the human heard" mentality. If you have ever given a dime to charity or uttered a prayer in your life, this guy thinks you are a fool. The world has already experienced similar ideas from historical figures-- Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Hitler to name a few.
Just want to warn everyone that this book should not be listed on 's "Matthew Kelly Page" because it is by an entirely different author with the same name.

About the Author
Matthew Kelly was born and raised in Canada. After graduating University, he spent the first 10 years working in the Canadian automotive industry before relocating to the United States in 1996. Having traveled extensively and lived in different parts of the US and Canada, he now resides in Southern California. This is his first novel.
Compare that to the book description for "The Rhythm of Life"
From Publishers Weekly
Now 30, Kelly began his Catholic inspirational speaking at the age of 19. In this new edition of his self-published book, Australian-born, Cincinnati-based Kelly exhorts readers to rediscover what he calls the rhythm of life "the perfect combination of rest, activity, and pace" that will enable each of us to become "the-best-version-of-ourselves." Some will be inspired by these sermonlike essays; others will feel Kelly recycles standard self-help messages, such as "everything is a choice" and "enjoy the journey." Much, for Kelly, rests in self-discipline and control. "If you can teach yourself, condition yourself, to desire those things that are good for you, there is nothing you cannot achieve or become." Like so many self-help authors, Kelly also promotes good sleeping, eating and exercise habits, and suggests a daily hour of prayer and using the "seventh day as a day of rest, reflection, and renewal."
See? "Release the Lions" is by an entirely different Matthew Kelly. I downloaded the sample first chapter of the book on my and was disappointed to find that the author enganged in a lot of mean spirited name calling and spleen venting that was completely uncharacteristic of the Australian Catholic author whose other books I so admire.
Mad, vulgar author who has an axe to grind. Liberal point of views and is delusional about politics, God and the power of the government. Language is offensive and unnecessary...I recommend you spend your money elsewhere!
